All Things Hard is monthly Hard Dance Podcast mixed by well known Queensland DJ Apollis (Formerly known as Apollo). Follow Apollis as he powers through a number of hard dance releases featuring tracks from the previous month. Genres will include Euro/German Hard Trance, Tech Trance, Reverse Bass Hardstyle, Dutch Hardstyle, Italian Hardstyle, Happy/UK Hardcore and Dutch Hardcore tracks all seamlessly mixed into one 2 hour long podcast. Apollis’s ‘All Things Hard’ Podcast can also be heard Live in Play Hardstyle’s ‘Hard Dance Radio & Chat Room‘ on the second Saturday of every month between 2pm and 4pm (Check the calendar for more details). There’s a new sheriff in town :P

I have been busy updating security on Play Hardstyle and you may have noticed a few new things. One change that will affect new users is the captcha on registration. It’s our new first line of defence against spammers to make the site more secure and my job much easier.

Along with this I have personally filtered through more than 500 Play Hardstyle registered users and deleted over half. If your account has been accidently deleted I apologise, I can’t return your account and you will need to re-register. Don’t panic if you have… added a name to your account, your username is somewhat DJ/Raver like or the username reflects the email address and is not odd looking you should be safe. But if your account looked something like this User:tbise1906 email:jauerts.n.0.0@gmail.com and you have not added any other details you could assume that you are gone.

Anyway moving forward, you may notice a few new alert boxes. Please pay attention to these because I would not have used them if it wasn’t important.

If it looks like this, I need you to read it although it’s not an immediate threat to your life.

If it looks like this, It’s bad like “PlayHardstyle is closing down” or “We are now going mainstream”

If it looks like this, you should read it as it provides useful tips or info.

So I hope you learned a lot form this post, as running this place is not just awesome Hard Dance tunes and wicked mc’s, every week or so I need to put in at least 5 minutes of effort.

Welcome back to Queenslands #1 Hard Dance Radio Station. New updates to the site are now available! While some features are still underway and will be available over the next few weeks the backend of the website has been restructured for future features and updates!

Merry Christmas To our friend’s, listener’s, DJ’s, partners and advertisers. I’d like to thank all of you for the wonderful second half of the year it has been for myself and the Play Hardstyle Resident DJ’s. Over the last 6 months the realisation of what playhardstyle.com is possible of becoming has helped me strive to improve site for the convenience of everyone using it. Over the next month the site may be inside out & upside down, but be sure it will be returning better than ever next year! During this time I won’t be able to follow up on DJ’s or spam Facebook. If DJ’s would still like to play during this time I recommend you post on my facebook profile.

Summerbass Tomorrow!

Well I woke up a little early today as there was no rain on the rooftop, so I thought I’d pump out a quick one (Not in a sus way)… I now just got into work because I couldn’t think of what to write in the 20min I sat on the couch. I had to check my phone to see what day it was… yep Thursday, somehow Monday to Wednesday has melted into one but I’m happy because 80% of my memory this week is of the time I spent tuned into the 9 amazing DJ’s that volunteer their time to play live this week.

Being in the chat room has not done me any good for the amount of hype building up for SummerBass tomorrow and I wish it were tonight as I can barely concentrate on work! Hype is a great thing, it improves the atmosphere on the night because everyone is on an excitement high and gets the dj’s really going! Even though the event is tomorrow keep the hype up tell your friends and post on Facebook at least once. lets get our party shoes on and get hyped!

Play Hardstyle Christmas Breakup

To our listeners and fans,

Thank you all for tuning in and supporting your local DJ’s over these last 4 months of Hard Dance Radio shows. It has been a pleasure for me to help promote some of your local events and to chat to many of you in our dedicated chat/radio room.

As the crazy Christmas time nears some of our dj’s may not be able to play their usual set times therefore I am announcing somewhat of a Play Hardstyle shutdown over the holiday period. Although the site is officially quiet over this time, our Auto DJ and some of our resident DJ’s would like to play as usual or special events. Be sure to follow our resident DJ’s facebook page’s over this time to catch them playing live on the site during this time.

The last official sets will be played the week after SummerBass, ie. Hardcore on Monday 12th, Hardstyle on Tuesday 13th and Hard Trance on Wednesday 14th. Plus a final Christmas holiday show will be played on Saturday 17th with a few of our resident Brisbane DJ’s joining Apollis at his place for drinks and live mixing. (Set times to be confirmed)

Finally, the site will be returning to normality on the 16th of January with some new updates so I hope many of you will still be with us and fresh for a new year of harder styles cause its gonna be rockin!

Nindigully Pig Races

Just for something different…

On the 26th of November Queensland’s oldest pub is having their annual Pig Races to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctors. Now I wouldn’t usually advertise this but I have some special reasons, it’s for charity, it’s 6 hours west with free camping and a creek full of yabbies, it’s a Pub with all night entertainment and finally this year the Bundaberg Distillatorium will be there as part of a 3 year national tour… Hella Yeah!

I have been to Nindigully Pub on a few occasions (2008 Easter weekend, 2009 New years, 2010 Pig Races) and every year I take the time to go back. This year I’m planning on heading across Queensland from the 25th and leaving on the 28th so if your up for a weekend away at a pub in the country come join me!

If you were hoping to tune in tonight I have just confirmed that there will not be enough time to set up all the required gear and wireless for the night. However there are still tickets available at the door tonight so get down and support your locals!

Unfortunately today I have found that it would be near impossible to stream Jenesis this Friday through Play Hardstyle. The Arena does not provide any network and I will not be able to gain access to one in time. The requirements for me would be to rent and pick up a wireless usb in Brisbane then set up the gear between 8:30pm and Jenesis. I would also need to leave the gear over night and pick it up the next day while I am on a bucks then do something with the gear. Unless anyone wants to setup the wireless/laptop and stream with their own gear I won’t be able to make it this time. If you have any other Ideas please let me know ASAP! I would also be willing to pay for the bandwidth usage on the night 64kps @ 7 hours would equal 1.7GIG.

Sorry to everyone planning to tune in on Friday. The best I can do is record it and play at a later date.
