Play Hardstyle is a site for Hard Dance enthusiast’s in Queensland, however we do invite Australian wide hard dance DJ’s and listeners to our Hard Dance Radio and Chatroom. If you are into electronica music genres such as Hard House, Hard NRG, Hard Trance, Hardcore, Hardstyle, Gabber or similar genres then this is the place for you! Play Hardstyle is 100% non profit and all donations will go back into the Hard Dance scene.
History:
Play Hardstyle began more than 5 years ago with the intent to provide Brisbane DJ’s and Hard Dance enthusiasts with a place to keep updated on current news and what DJ’s are up to. The site went well for the first year then became a footnote in between long working hours and uni studies. Only recently had I made the decision to kill or fix the site. With one last shot in mind a major overall was done, packing anything and everything into the sites code then stripping it out again until the formula was right. Only 3 weeks into its relaunch I followed up on my old leads to see If I could get any interest into the site. After sending out the emails I received a lot of interest from the Jenesis crew and local DJ’s. Through Jenesis, DJ Rushnosh contacted me in regards to a DJ profile and the possibility of having a local online radio. After 3 weeks of coding and testing with Rushnosh, Queensland Hard Dance Radio was created. Without the knowledge whether the server would handle the bandwidth we promoted the radio and instantly received interest from Brisbane Hard Dance DJ’s Appolis, Atomik and Keni. Starting sets the following week we received great feedback from the listeners and DJ’s. Within 2 months of Hard Dance Radio the site has broadened its horizons welcoming our dedicated team of WA DJ’s Ol’Bill, Maloonatic, Zimmer and host Slap n’ Tickle followed by NSW DJ’s Dactiv8 and Maneyecool 2 months later. I am currently continuing to implement and improve the site and receiving lots of interest for radio shows from outer-state DJ’s.
